Tour du Mont Blanc: La Fouly to Champex
Hiking Trail
Hard
9.17 mi
1,724 ft
Day 7: Comfortably the easiest day on the Tour du Mont Blanc, this is an opportunity to soak in the unique ambience of Swiss mountains valleys.
From La Fouly, follow a good path north as it runs parallel to the river which runs down the heart of the valley. The path passes back and forth from one side of the river to another and passes through a series of charming villages en route. After 2 - 3 hours of gentle walking, sometimes on a path and sometimes on the road, you reach the small settlement of Issert (1055 metres). Grab a final drink here then spend 1 - 1.5 hours walking up a good, clear path to the town of Champex (1466 metres), and its famous lake. This is a short day so you will have plenty of time to hire a pedalo, do an extra bit of hiking or ride the Breya chairlift during the afternoon. Written by FATMAP Official
