Even steeper than the Pan de Rideau classic
Very serious skiing with an incredible atmosphere for experts only. A line even steeper than the Pan de Rideau classic. It takes a more direct line via a 50-55 degree couloir to rejoin the classic Vallons route. Start as per the Pan de Rideau classic and after around 150m vertical head left to the snow arete and the entrance to the couloir. From here follow a plumb line down the couloir and the glacier below to rejoin the Vallons route. The line is very committing. Pay special attention for icy patches or rocks on the initial traverse.
