A designated route for skinning up Snow King during operating hours.
Snow King allows uphill travel at any time of day, but an uphill pass is required. And true to Jackson form, this may be the most expensive uphill-specific pass in the country. See Snow King’s [uphill travel]( page for the policies and more information.
There are three designated routes for uphilling during open hours. The one mapped here makes the go-to grind for many locals. It begins near Snow King Mountain Sports and King’s Grill, taking Cats Tail and Way Home trail to the summit. During operating hours you can then ski down any open run from there. This route is short and sweet enough that you might consider going up again, especially if you find motivation in local crushers lapping you on the uphill, which is likely to happen. Snow King makes the backyard training ground for many skimo athletes who call Jackson home. Written by Jesse Weber
