Aspen Mountain: America's Uphill Tour
Backcountry Skiing Route
Details
5.25 mi
3,440 ft
Uphill access on Aspen Mountain, following the course of the America's Uphill race.
Aspen Mountain does not allow uphill during operating hours, but outside of that 9:00am-4:45pm window you can lap the mountain all night long. Uphillers must stay on this designated route, however, which is normally marked with orange signs. It goes all the way to the top, turning around at the Sundeck and following a different designated downhill. This is the course of America's Uphill––a skimo/running race that happens every year. Since the route is open all season, there's no excuse not to get fit and crush the race! Aspen requires an uphill-specific pass and other precautions for uphill travel. See their [Uphill Policy]( page for more information. Written by Jesse Weber
