Wolf Creek Summit Uphill
Backcountry Skiing Route
Details
1.06 mi
1,060 ft
One possible route for skinning to the top of Wolf Creek resort.
According to Wolf Creek’s website, the resort allows uphill access during operating hours, 9am-4pm. As of the 2021/22 season no pass is required, and there are no designated routes. As a remote-feeling resort known for challenging hike-to and sidecountry terrain, Wolf Creek’s permissive uphill policy seems quite fitting. You can earn your turns pretty much anywhere on the mountain, just be sure to respect any trail closures and be mindful of downhill traffic. The route mapped here is just one possibility, and is one of the more obvious routes to take for a simple uphill workout. It begins at base area and takes blue runs to The Summit of the resort. These trails are typically groomed, making a smooth and efficient ascent of about 1000 vertical feet. From the top you can have your choice of any open run to take back down.
