One of Israel's best trails for getting sendy!
The Ariel Trails rise directly above the small city of Ariel. The arid, sparsely-treed hillside is covered in rocks, loose dirt, and loose sand, making for a high desert style of mountain biking. The wide-open area provides long sightlines, with great visibility of what's coming next on the trail.
The loop mapped here hits most of the best trails in the trail system. While you can choose to pedal a moderate singletrack loop along this route, if you hit all of the manmade features, the technical difficulty gets much more dramatic.
Ariel is one of the best spots in Israel for catching some airtime on your mountain bike and enjoying manmade bike park-style features. You'll find plenty of built-up trail features scattered throughout the network, with wooden jumps, bridges, wall rides, gap jumps, skinnies, kickers, tabletops, and more. If you want to get sendy, Ariel is the place to go!
While the basic trails might be intermediate in difficulty, if you hit all of the optional jumps, the difficulty will ramp up to "Severe." Thus, the ride has been assigned a "Difficult" FATMAP difficulty rating.
