Hike to top of Veret when drag closed
Backcountry Skiing Route
Details
1.24 mi
386 ft
A great run which is relatively easily accessed even when the lift is not open.
When the Veret draglift is closed it is possible to hike to the top of this lift to ski the Combe de Veret run via a 20 – 30 minute hike. To do this you need to ski from the top of Grands Vans / Vernant lifts towards Flaine – keeping as far left as you can and then come off the piste and start hiking up the ridge – more often than not this is a cat track. It’s about a 20 – 30 minute hike to the top. Make sure the run is safe – sometimes the drag is closed due to lack of people other times it is closed due to avalanche risk. Written by FATMAP Official
