Another steeper, more serious variant of the Trifides couloirs
This takes in the furthest (skiers) right of the Trifides couloirs. The line gets its name from the obvious shape of the couloir and as a result exposed. A fall here could be very serious. It starts far skiers right, first down a steep more open section before narrowing to the S section of the couloir. There is a large cliff which now (due to glacial retreat) requires a 55 metre rappel from a fairly dubious anchor. If you're going to ski this line then come equipped with 60 metre ropes and the skills and equipment to assess (and potentially build) an anchor.
As with the other Trifides couloirs, the line can also be accessed from the line of the disused Dome/Trifides drag lift by taking in the couloir above. Written by FATMAP Official
