A Verbier classic requiring some walking but without great commitment
The Rock Garden is Verbier classic that offers some great off piste skiing without too much commitment. If you are prepared to hike for your turns, it is a more interesting alternative than the standard itinerary from the Col de Chassoure. Whilst never too steep good snow cover is required because as it's name suggests, the area is full of big rocks! From the Col de Champs Ferret (30 mins skinning / boot packing) ski the fall line to join the main exit of the Chassoure - Tortin itinerary. Written by FATMAP Official
