A discrete entrance leads to a paradise of hidden lines. If you like having the glades all to yourself, this is the place to be.
Nowhere Woods is one of the best kept secrets at Sugarbush. If you're an experienced skier who likes exploring new areas, you can have a lot of fun in here. The entrance is just above the warming hut to skiers right at the top of Castlerock Run. It is not well defined and can be missed easily if there’s no tracks. The hut makes for a good reference point. This entrance leads to a traverse/sidestep through the woods. After the first 70-100 feet the tight woods open up and becomes skiable. Continue sidestepping to your desired drop in point and have at it. The beauty of Nowhere woods is how many possibilities there are for different lines. Continue down these glades until you reach Bailout. As with any unmarked glade, treat this with respect. It is not patrolled and a rescue would take a long time to arrive. Carry a cell phone and don’t go unless you are an experienced skier. Written by Ryan Delena
