Route 58 Return to the closer of two cleared roads from the backside of Annupuri
While the Goshikionsen lot is closer than the Weiss lot, it requires a short skin. Skiers without skins can easily enough shuffle along this generally flat road but snowboarders without snowshoes may have a difficult time, particularly when in deep snow. This is the shorter, more straightforward route back that is easier with skins, particularly in deep snow but if in an emergency, the Goshikionsen lot is generally more populated, with a small onsen at the parking lot. If you are in a life threatening situation, it is important to alert authorities through proper medium if possible, and note this is the closest, easiest lot to reach when time is important. That said, expect to be on your own when dropping off at the relatively distant, northwest side of Niseko United. These returns should only be attempted if the group has placed a car at one of the lots, or has the ability to call for a taxi.
