L'Estany's traverse line
Backcountry Skiing Route

A long traverse line with a really steep entrance onto a ridge side.
This is an easily accessed line; turn right from the red slope "L'Estany" just before the left turn and the line starts on top of the little ridge. The entrance of the line is really steep and needs some good tight skiing skills. The line gets a lot of sun (it faces east) so make sure there's enough snow before heading in in the spring season. Remember as well that wet snow can be found and some frozen snow too in the morning. Avalanche risk is pretty important due to the steepness of the gully around here; the lower part of the line loses some steepness and avalanche risks get lower as soon as you get closer to the pistes. The line finishes on the green piste "La Basera" which leads back to the bottom of Arcalis ski area. Written by Kevin Blanc
