The dog-friendly alternate route to Stage 6.
The main route of Rundumadum Stage 6 is through Lainzer Tiergarten between Nikolaitor and Lainzer Tor, but that way is off limits to dogs and may be closed in winter. Thus, Route 2 provides an alternative. Much of this walk is on a path between the tiergarten wall and hedge rows of residences. It’s a decidedly more urban setting than inside the tiergarten, but remains removed from city bustle and makes a pleasant setting for a walk nonetheless. Cuisine enthusiasts will find a distinct advantage to this route in the wine taverns and guesthouses along the way. Inside the preserve there are not as many stops for refreshment.
