A gentle walk with world-famous views of Hong Kong
Victoria Peak is the place to go when you visit Hong Kong. Very easily accessible by public transport, the Peak Circle Walk offers the most iconic views of the city, making it the best way to see the city from above. As the name suggests, this is a loop trail that takes you around the Peak. This flat, paved, and shaded trail makes it a breeze to bring kids and pushchairs along. Follow the mountain-hugging leafy path, and you’ll quickly come across marked viewpoints along the way. Stop and marvel at the sprawling city lights beneath you, as you see all of Hong Kong’s city centre from above, including the harbour and Kowloon. Also en route are some fun children’s playgrounds, so if you choose to pull over, the kids can shake their legs out on the swings and slides. As you continue along the trail, you’ll have a different perspective of Hong Kong, as views of the sea and outlying islands open up in front of you and the cityscape gets left behind. Once back at the Peak Lookout, you can easily stop here to tuck into a delicious meal in one of the many restaurants or bring the whole family to visit Madame Tussauds to snap fun pictures amongst famous wax star figures. Best of all, hop on the famous red Peak Tram for an incredibly scenic—and steep—journey back down the mountain. Written by Fabienne Lang
