Pinnacle Loop via Halls Gap and Wonderland Track

Hiking Trail

Hard
5.27 mi
1,759 ft
A moderately challenging route that takes in some stunning scenery and offers opportunities for bird watching

The Grampians National Park is home to over 350 different species of plants and animals, many of which are endemic to the area. There are several entry points for this national park; however, one of the best starting points for exploring the many trails and climbing locations throughout is from Halls Gap. The Pinnacle Loop, just outside of Halls Gap, is an easy day hike that provides a variety of beautiful views along the way. There are also a number of smaller backpacking sites surrounding The Pinnacle Loop Trailhead as well as some excellent camping spots further up the road towards Hawker Falls. The Pinnacle Loop trail is just under 9 km in length with minimal elevation gain. This means it’s accessible to hikers of all abilities and ages. Written by FATMAP Official
