Climb above the city and visit the charming Alms above Innsbruck on dreamy forest trails.
Climbing up above the city of Innsbruck, run along forest trails and visit the charming Alms. Our take on the "Pub Crawl." Start and finish at Löwen Haus where a beer can be enjoyed afterwards (after all, we are in Austria). Cross the old bridge and climb the trail switchbacks towards Wilhelm-Greil-Weg and watch out for the small singletrack to your left that takes you to the 30 turns – a tightly switchbacked climb with great views over the Inn as you reach the top and look behind you (NB: there is a Strava segment for the taking if you do the trail in reverse, making it a downhill, all-out). The trail flattens out as you head east and up to Arzler Alm, where on summer Wednesday's they offer an all-you-can-eat barbecue. From here, head west towards Umbrüggler Alm on flow trails and then down towards the Alpenzoo. This run can be extended to include Enzian Hütte & Höttinger Alm via the Durachsteig.
