Short ski-tour up Ornach (1572m).
A quick tour up to the summit of Ornach, 1572m.
The start of this tour is from a guest-house that isn't public parking, so you may be asked to park elsewhere.
Follow the marked trail up the zig-zag path through the trees.
You'll emerge on the open, south-east facing slope.
Continue up, picking a line of your choice, to get to the cross at the top. From Ornach, you can also continue up to Jochschrofen.
On a powder day the descent starts with a completely open, steep face that's great to ski. You then return on the zig zag path you came up on.
