Leave the Wilton Arms heading South towards Bolton. Turn Right into Horrocks Fold and head up the hill to Horrocks Fold Farm where you continue past the farmhouse. At the gate turn Right into Horrocks Fold Woods and take the bridleway. At the first junction turn left down the hill and follow the path until you rejoin back on the top path. Here Turn left and keep left through a small gate past the large house on your right. Continue on this path until you reach Smithills Deane Road where you turn right towards Scout Road. At the top turn right onto Scout Road and continue until you reach the "Top Bend" where you will turn right down "Devils Footpath" (signposted Public walkway) - continue down the hill until you rejoin Horrocks Fold. Upon exiting the footpath keep left and head back to Belmont Road before returning to the Wilton Arms.
