Set off from Rawdon Meadows, turn left up Harrogate Road for a short distance then left up Parkin Lane, across the bridge, heading for Calverley Woods. Turn right up Eleanor Drive, through the opening in the fence. At the end, cross the main A657 to Ravenscliffe Terrace, head along this road for a couple of hundred metres until you reach Ravenscliffe Woods, the entrance is on the junction with Crowther Avenue. Head up through the woods until you can see the Blue Pig Pub on the right, follow the track up past the entrance to the quarry then turn immediate left go up hill along the side of the golf course. Follow the path until you reach a stile taking you on to the golf course [CAUTION keep to your right and watch out for Golfers Tee’ing off] the footpath will go to the right and then to the left around the back of the sand bunker, at the end, go through the next stile, follow the path until it reaches the stile and boundary with the main golf course. Cross the golf course [CAUTION BEWARE Golfers Tee’ing off from both side!] to the stile at the other side, go about ten metres then turn right, this will take you past Woodhall Hills. Cross Woodhall Road, turn right, take the footpath on the left (gap in Wall) heading across the second golf course, follow the path, it crosses part of the course then into the old Orchard field, leading to a stile in the corner, follow the track to end - Priesthorpe Lane, Turn left and follow the track, Then turn left again on to Priesthorpe Road, After the buildings on the right there is a HIDDEN FOOTPATH - Shell Lane, turn right down Shell Lane, Follow the path until you reach the stile at the end, then go right down Monson Avenue to Towngate. Turn right towards Rodley, then left at the footpath crossing the fields towards the Canal. Follow the cobbled road around to to the Pack horse Bridge, Cross the bridge, then go straight across and up Calverley Lane, turn left on to Lower Hall Road, then Right up Knott Lane, at the footpath turn left crossing the field through to the track, turn right up to Woodlands Drive, then right up the Hill back to Knott Lane, turn Left following the road up to Leeds Road. Turn left and follow until Rawdon Drive, turn left here, down the side of Rawdon Golf course, at the bottom turn right on to Cliffe Road, following the golf course round, Follow through to Apperley Lane, [CAUTION cross over - footpath is not continuous], follow Apperley Lane left down the hill back to the car park.
