Oak Point (Mostly Trail)

Running Route

Easy

Good beginner Trail run, not too technical. Two separate trails divided by a creek. Start from the trail head east of the Amphitheater and head west on Rowlett Trail. Keep left at Bobcat Run to stay on Rowlett Trail. You cross back over Where you started on Rowlett Trail but keep left heading West along the creek. You end up back where you started. You have to take the pavement to get to other side of creek. Take the pavement west, then after the little bridge go north for a little bit then you hang a left at the Split. Then you will hit the "Other" Rowlett trail head on the left. You take that and continue to stay left and it will take you west. You eventually hit the pavement again and have to double back eat for a minute. You will see a "Grassland" trail head (they mow that shit to make a trail) at the split. Take that and again...keep left and it will take you up a nice hill and eventually you hit a gravel road. Take that road downhill until and hang a right at the T. There you hit the pavement path again. follow that to the west and hang a left at the Split. Then you will double back to the same parking lot you started at.
