2,345 m
Sunday 3 July 2016
Time: 6:30am until 12:00pm approx.
Location: Sunshine Coast- Crib st, landsbourgh, landsbourgh train station.
Where: Like Peaks Gold Coast we get into the climbing quickly. A short roll from the translation to the base of the first climb Mt Mellum, this is a steady climb of a similar gradient and road surface to Beechmont. The a rolling decent through Peachester and onto Bellthorpe. For part of the ride we have an out and back section allowing for regrouping or waiting. Then back into the climbing and onto Maleny. Across the top and then back to Landsbourgh.
Ideally with a bit over a month out you will be able to ride the bulk of this course at a steady pace. If you do need to there are areas to turn short or to wait for the group to roll back through. Depending on numbers we may aim for 10hr pace.
Water is available though at times may need to be purchased.
Pack enough food to eat and enough clothing to be warm.
Average Speed: 24 km/hr with short breaks included
Distance: 112km 2347 vertical meter
