Sportive and Hill Climb practice on our 3 iconic local ascents. Warm up on Coombes Lane then it's straight up The Bostal with gradients topping out at around 18%. A careful descent then it's off to The Dyke via Beeding and Edburton Road; bypass the cut-away and follow Mill Lane to climb up Saddlescombe from the mini roundabout, turn right for the hard part to the Golf Club. Take the Southern loop before dropping back down to the roundabout and heading North before turning right at Shave Thatch (The Ginger Fox). At Hurstpoerpoint turn right and at the other end of the High Street turn right onto New Way Lane. Turn right at the end and take either the B2116 or Underhill Lane (higher puncture risk) to the bottom of The Beacon. Climb the Beacon remembering not to to sprint at the false finish, get your breath back and come back down to ride via Keymer and Hassocks (alternatively follow Underhill Lane and New Way Lane) to get back to Hurstpierpoint and head for home via Beeding.
