Enter the gate behind the home stead and then follow the trail to the left. this trail follows the ridge through some washed out areas. Just continue upward and the path is evident. School children use this trail daily to go to school.

As you are walking look to your left and you will see on the opposite mountain side a steep road into the valley this will be your decent into the valley toward the end. Continue up and stay on the ridge eventually you will come out of the trees and onto a grassy plain. Find the road that continues south and follow this or wander where ever you please. The trail follows an old road and ends at a gate where you turn left up the hill and follow the contour back toward the direction you came from. this gives a sweeping view of the surrounding area.
