This route heads in and out of town along the regular Layhams/ Cudham route but really springs into life after you turn off Skid Hill Lane. The gradual climb up through the Woldingham estate is my favourite lane this side of the M25. After heading back up to the Ridge, be careful on the very steep descent down to Pilgrims Way and take particular care when turning left onto Pilgrims from the busy and fast Titsey Hill as the left turn is very sharp and requires very low speed. The ride along Pilgrims Way is fantastic, before the testing climb back up Sundridge Lane. Your lowest gearing will probably be needed there! Is this the best 70K loop in the area?! I think so!
