The Bethlehem Church area is a beautiful cove in Wildwood, near Chilhowee Mtn. Historic Bethlehem Methodist Church was founded and built in 1866 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. While the congregation dissolved in 1966, the building is still used sometimes for weddings, funerals, and other events. Follow the green Dan Henry symbols from the shop to Coulter’s Bridge. From there, follow the “green and orange” symbols to Doc Norton Road. (Note that the orange has faded to white in some places.) Turn right on Doc Norton and you’re on the DuPont route marked “green and blue”. Take a right onto Ellejoy and you’re now following the “green and red” symbols, which are the colors for the Bethlehem Church Route. The markings turn back to green-only when returning on Ellejoy Road.
