Pales deth Miei
Backcountry Skiing Route
Details
0.66 mi
11 ft
Open snow field with easy access, as well as a nice rock jump.
At the top of TQ Costarjàs, follow the blue slope of the same name, until it crosses Pales deth Miei. Here, instead of turning onto the slope go to your left around a hill that is beside the slope. The run starts just before the pistes split. After 100m, on your left there is a nice rock - around 3m high with a really smooth landing. Before jumping it, check the snow pack and if the top of the rock is fully covered by snow. Be careful in this area because if you go too far to your left there is a bigger jump that is quite hard. After the nice jump, keep skiing down, following the small creek and you will end up on the Tuc deth Miei slope. This is a great place to go, the jump is optional, so if you don't want to jump it, go to the left or right to avoid it. Be extremely careful if you ski this in bad visibility.
