Park City Uphill Access
Backcountry Skiing Route
Details
1.56 mi
1,374 ft
The single designated route for skinning at Park City Resort.
Park City is pretty limiting on the uphill access allowed to skiers and splitboarders, but there is one route that's designated for skinning outside of operating hours. Therefore this one is a huge hit with the local athletic crowd. On any winter morning or evening, you'll likely share the run with dozens of motivated uphillers. From 6pm-8:30am you can go uphill on Homerun trail, from the bottom of First Time lift to the top of Town lift. Going farther uphill from there is not allowed. There are some various blue runs you could ski down, but it's not a super exciting resort tour. It is perfect, however, for fitness laps to start or end your day. Find out more about uphill policies on the resort's [Mountain Safety](https://www.parkcitymountain.com/the-mountain/more-options/mountain-safety.aspx) webpage. Written by Jesse Weber
