A short and pretty circular hike on the Kitzbühler Horn.
Ride the Hornbahn 1 and 2 from Kitzbühel. Beginning at the Alpenhaus, climb gently up to the Hörnkopfl lake. Walk around the lake in an anti-clockwise direction and then begin to climb up to the top of the Hörnkopfl (1773m). Just before you reach the summit you will pass the charming Hörnkopflhütte, where you can try traditional Austrian food, beer, and wine. Just after the summit of the Hörnkopfl, you begin to descend back to the upper station of the Hornbahn 2, where you are presented with more opportunities to stop for a hearty meal or a sweet treat!
