The Best Mountain Biking Trails in Saalbach Hinterglemm and Saalfelden Leogang

Despite not being built until late into the season, the pumptrack in front of the Bike Shop in Hinterglemm offers a flowy set of berms and small jumps. Its ideal to check out should you be interested in testing out a possible new bike from the shop or just want to warm up before your first run of the day....

The pumptrack in Hinterglemm is the perfect area for practising, situated just below the Z-Line, is an ideal place to practise all areas of your mountain biking game. Available are drop-offs, jumps, root sections, downhill sections, berms and of course, the actual pumptrack....

The Flowmaster is one of the most popular attractions of the bike park. It was designed by the dirt jump specialist Markus Hampl.The park consists of many jumps and curves. step downs, drops and a foam pit....

The so called hell trail consists of a few berms and many Northshore (wooden) elements. It starts just after the Spielberghaus hut, which is a very popular spot amongst bikers and hikers in the area....

This trail is perfect for kids or beginners. The Milka Line is a delightful trail, it boasts endless flowy sections, with generous, wide curves, small wooden features and a steady gradient....

You can find endless trails in this area, which is the largest bike region in Austria, but this line is worth a try, no matter your riding level! Everyone can ride on these two amazing trails and - as the name says - enjoy the beautiful landscapes on top....

A natural, unspoilt track with a breathtaking mountain scenery that you can take with a lot of speed. The gravel road up to the start of the trail at the western summit is steep but well worth it....

This is a high mountain trail of the finest quality. This very technical trail is dotted with peaks, ancillary curves as well as some crunchy stone and wildly roots passages (as well as a few minor hike-a-bike sections)....

This is a new fast and flowy track in Leogang. The approximately 3.5 km long trail starts at the Asitz mountain station and offers a fun experience for all levels of skill....

This is the easiest of the two trails starting from the top on Reiterkogelbahn, in the Hinterglamm bike area. Heading out of the gondola's station on the right, the trail starts in a few meters, just next to the pump track area....

The freeride track for advanced riders, the Pro Line at the Reiterkogel is marked by narrow forest paths, followed by rocky parts and numerous Northshore variants. The Pro Line is extremely action-packed and promises pure fun with its doubles, tables, drop batteries, technical roots and many smaller jumps....

The Bongo Bongo Freeride Trail branches off halfway down the freeride track. The Bongo Bongo runs almost exclusively in the forest, has numerous Northshore (wooden) elements, as well as some wallrides and drops....

This trail is like marmite, you either love it or hate it. It is littered with roots in mostly flat terrain that has a few uphill sections. It's a technical challenge to get through, yet so rewarding, as it has the best views when transitioning from one valley to the other....

The start of the Z-Line is directly at the middle station of the Zwölferkogelbahn, from where the freeride route winds with a breathtaking view of Saalbach Hinterglemm towards the valley. The trail runs through wallrides, Northshore passages as well as waves, tables and smaller drops, always with the possibility of bypassing, which allows a slow approach to the route....

From the Schattberg summit to the valley station of the Schattberg-Express, the X-Line crosses over 1,000 hm over a length of over 6 kilometres. However, it is not the length or height difference, which makes the X-Line unique....

The Hangman I stretches from the mountain station to the middle station and is technically sophisticated: narrow trails snake through the forest and under the gondola down the slope. In the forest, the riders can expect small root passages and Northshore (wooden) elements....

It's headed from the east side of the middle station to the valley station of the Asitzbahn. This is a nice, pleasant trail, where you can test your skills before venturing into more challenging terrain....

Speedster is a 2.3 km long track which demands the best riding technique. The combination of steep fall line sections, rugged roots, tight sweeps and fast passages make the heart of every downhill racer beat faster....
