The Best Mountain Biking Trails in Rossland

Slightly away from the better known Rossland biking areas, this is a fun little loop which is easily accessed from the highway. There's a large parking lot at the start of the trail and it comes back to the same spot so there are no logistical issues to solve....

This is the perfect ride for those seeking a bit of evening fresh air, with zero stress. It's easily accessed from Rossland (and there's a parking lot at the very start if you don't want to ride the kilometre or so from Rossland town centre) and has zero technicality or real difficulty....

Red Mountain is Rossland's local ski hill and a popular winter destination, but it's also a great spot at which to enjoy a hike or bike. Red Mountain itself (which this hike ascends) isn't the highest peak in the area, or even the most prominent, but it's the one after which they named the ski hill so that gives it some kudos! This trail (which can be hiked or biked, so watch out for other trail users) is a peaceful one, with most of it passing through quiet, dense forest....

The final section of Rossland's Seven Summits ride - https://fatmap.com/routeid/3047083/the-seven-summits-imba-epic - the Dewdney trail is also an understandably popular trip in its own right. It's never busy (this is Rossland after all!) but it's definitely one of the most ridden trails in the region and as a result is clear and easy to navigate throughout....

This is one of the best short rides at Red Mountain, and is a tribute to the skill and hard work of the team who sculpted it. The route begins on the various sections of the Pilgrim Trail, a beautifully crafted up-track which makes the ascent enjoyable (or at least as enjoyable as going uphill can be)! The up-track is well signposted, clear and at such a constant angle that it feels almost effortless for much of the way....

This is one of the best known rides in BC and for good reason; it features massive scenery, a series of tough but rewarding climbs, and a truly exceptional descent to finish....

Easily accessed from Rossland via a road and then an FSR, this is an ideal post or pre-work quick hit. The riding is tough, the views epic, and the ride up simple and non-technical....
