  3. How do I use Android or iPhone to track my runs and rides?

Download our mobile apps, available for free in Google Play and the App Store. You can record all your activity data and sync it wirelessly and instantly with Strava.com.

  4. Can I add runs and rides manually, or do I have to use a GPS device?

Yes. You can add an activity to Strava even if you didn't record it with a GPS device. Strava lets you enter the type, time and distance for any activity. This is a great way to keep track of your training even if you didn't bring your device.

  5. Which types of files can I upload?

You can upload files of your rides and runs directly to Strava via our file uploader tool found here: http://www.strava.com/upload/select. You may want to do this if you have activities on your computer that are no longer on your Garmin, or if you'd like to transfer your activities from sites like Garmin Connect to Strava. You can upload the following file types as long as the file is 25MB or smaller: GPX, TCX, FIT.

An email upload option is available for uploading multiple files or files larger than 25MB. It may take some time to process, but the activities will appear under Training > My Activity once they have been uploaded and processed.

  6. Which web browsers work with Strava?

Internet Explorer 9 and 10, Firefox 6 or higher, Safari 5.1 or higher and Chrome.

  7. How does Strava protect my privacy?

Log in and select Privacy from the menu on your Settings page to manage your privacy controls. Make any individual activity private so that no one else can view it. Hide your home, office, or any other location by creating a privacy perimeter around the address.

Make your profile either public or viewable only by signed in Strava members, and abbreviate your last name. In addition, you can require your approval before allowing someone to follow you.

  8. Can I change plans at any time?

Yes. You can switch plans any time by logging in and selecting Account from the drop-down menu below your name.

  9. What types of payment do you accept?
