First time skiing in 30 years

it's usually not as bad as i anticipate

Focal point today was Harbor Place, a large area under construction. What strikes me around the harbor is how poorly it’s used. There are huge parking lots, some of them even empty. Rode a lot on cobblestone which is uncomfortable to say the least. Also visited the Frederick Douglass memorial, a tiny statue with nothing more than a little placard nearby. I’ve loved the man since high school when I read his first autobiography and it seems he deserves a much larger memorial, even a large museum (he spent part of his life here, working at the docks and learning to read, and it’s here where he took his freedom, escaping to the north).
