Strava is Swedish for “strive.” If you’re out there going for it, no matter your goals or ability, you’re one of us.

06CommitmentWe thrive on wholehearted efforts and the spirit of competition. We’re dedicated to our values, our work, our athletes and our team – no halfway, no hesitation.
Founded in 2009 by two friends, Michael Horvath and Mark Gainey, Strava was designed to capture the camaraderie and competition of their days as collegiate rowing teammates. This is a place where athletes can connect and inspire one another with their activities and accomplishments. Now millions strong, Strava connects a global community of athletes finding their personal best, one workout at a time.
Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging
Our culture reflects our community – we are continuously striving to hire and engage diverse teammates from all backgrounds, experiences and perspectives because we know we are a stronger team together.

What it's like to work at Strava

“As an engineer at the early-stage of their career, I find that Strava is a great place to dive nose deep into advanced technologies with a guarantee to learn and grow immensely. But an even greater sense of reward comes from being able to, right off the bat, contribute and make an impact; your work is quickly put to use for the product and for its users.”
Dulce Palacios, iOS Engineer

“Strava is a relatively small engineering org given the number of athletes we serve. This means I am able to work on projects that align with my personal interests, aid in my career growth, and ship to athletes across the globe.”
Merty McGraw, Web Engineer
