Kicking off the adventure with a solar eclipse and the sweetest group of ladies who let me view through their solar glasses! Lots of room for improvement. Specifically with my approach to Relay, the descent off Rose towards Chocolate, the return to Church Peak, and picking up the pace on the ridge between Church Peak and Snowflower. The descent to Alpine Walk is a field of Manzanita, but I’ve learned from past experience and wore pants (gamechanger but my legs are still a bit bloody). There is some fresh snow on the aspects that do not get see as much sun and one snow field that has held on all year. What a stunning day! 

Shout out to Christopher Thomas for conceiving this route hitting all of the local favorites, and Jacob Cooper for the route (borrowed from your Strava)!

Also, my friends running Kodiak and EBM today which kept me inspired as a I was being swallowed in Manzanita.
