Wind SE 10-15mph. A very nice loop through the North York Moors, apart from the Cinder Track, which is not so much cindery as muddy. Pretty cold, and some unforrecast rain, but generally perfectly fine for October and the high moors were excellent. Dalby Forest was, I thought, very good too, being more varied than I'd imagined. Carrying a bike down the 199 steps in Whitby in road cleats is not as bad as I'd have imagined :-) Passing the bottom of Rosedale Chimney Bank, I was not tempted to go up it a second time in two days, oddly enough.
