Zwift - For Context

Short story: got into this 9 days ago by shooting shot, then I shot my shot, got 2nd and it was hard and long af, but I sent it! Also twice my age in miles to celebrate my bday this week. 

Read more if you want: Got into this race 9 days ago after shooting my shot via email and was nervous for my first 100k. 1st and I got lost super early on and added a solid hill then got behind a ton of runners. Made it back to 6th, then climbed up all the way to 1st, then back to 2nd. All in all, this was incredible. It was SO HARD and SO DAMN LONG. Constant rolling hills that made this death by a thousand cuts (ayye TSwift), so by the end I was destroyed. This was a huge learning experience for longer races on pacing, racing, eating, drinking, preparing, etc. I would randomly feel ok throughout parts of the whole race. Totally pushed beyond my limits, felt atrocious at the end to a medical degree, and they took me to the hospital. I am okay though!! Truly am fine. 

Wore Speedlands for the first half and ultraflys for the second for something fresh. Both felt great. Huge thank you to the volunteers that supported me and cheered me on, and to Skip the RD for letting me in and giving me a chance!

Post race hospital meal was subpar.
