What a legend of a race, 43 years of this race going on. Highly recommend! Focused on taking it easy at the start and having fun. Body felt strong until the last big climb up to Pisgah Lot. Mild bonk and a short hike. Nothing terrible. Really enjoyed the extra miles too! Pretty darn technical with a lot of leaf litter. Awesome seeing old friends and making new ones. Congrats to everyone plowing through the leaves 🍁 today who made it to the start. 
Ran in the MTL SkyFire 2s. Great shoe for the day! ~600 calories of skratch
