2nd place overall. ~1 hr 15 mins slower than what I should've done, but super proud of the effort. Also, very proud of the All In Running Community who showed up to race and a spectacular win by coach Sannat Sachdev in the 30K. Nice to see more members trying out trail / outdoor experiences.

Excellent organization and event execution! Professional and how events should be handled. Super grateful to the volunteers and everyone who made this race possible. You guys are amazing!!

Race route:
- Fully volunteer driven -- organied by runners for runners!
- While the course is always a bit different each year, this was the third new start location / course change
- Well thought or route with solid elevation change
- Two loops of 50K
- Long gradual climbs with some solid gradients in sections
- Mostly jeep tracks / trails with connecting sections of road and cementerld roads
- Jeep tracks with lots of loose gravel
- For the most part, it's the same scenery -- coffee plantation and big trees (not too many view points unlike the Himalayas)
- Couple of nice view points with lush green scenery, blue skies and dreamy cloud formations

Other thoughts:
- Just being in the dense green south Indian flora is beautiful
- Labour at coffee plantations have such a tough life, some have kids working alongside adults (I'm not a fan of coffee and the coffee culture, but is your coffee ethically sourced? Do you even care?)
- Amazing site seeing men load timber onto the trailer -- this is real strength (not picking up bars and dumbbells in indoor spaces) 🙂

Race notes:
- Started off well. Top two went off -- should've been with them (need to correct this)
- Got into a pack of 4-5, which spread out at 15-20K. Solo for the next 80
- Caught up with Henry around the steep climb around 33K 
- Solo running til the end
- Fueling was excellent in the first loop and was 15-20 mins off the lead
- went off course within the first km of the second loop and the gap opened up to 30 mins
- maintained the gap till 65K and attacked to close but, but the gap only increased, so decided to pull back and finish with a strong time 
- couldn't force down more gels at the same rate as the first loop and our aid stations are just downright poor -- I either need a crew or alternate fueling options in order to perform (nutrion is always the limiter) after 65K
- total shut down by 75-80K -- constant forward motion using slow run/walk 
- the 78K aid station had some type of cooked khichdi, but it was so spicy that one couldnt have it beyond a couple of bites
- sick and nauseaous for the last 3-4 hours
- surprised that the 3rd guy was only a few minutes behind

Ultras are hard and racing ultras is even harder. I don't enjoy them or racing in general, but every once in a while its good to know where you stack up. Still got it despite all the recent challenges!

Very demanding physically and emotionally, this one. One of the toughest, if not the toughest. Proud that I didn't give up at any point, which is what made the differerence in P2 or P5 or a DNF.
