Garmin froze for about eight minutes
Official time is 5:24:11 for 142.8 km. 6 minutes behind Salvin. Got outsprinted at the line by P2, Pranay. Salvin went full beast mode 🫡.

Great result given the scanty amount of training in my legs after the break, and well within my target for this year which was 5:30. 

Paced the bunch in the initial flat section of the race slower than the last couple years because safety.  Went hard on Kulamavu, got joined by Salvin at the top, rode with him right behind Pranay who was just a couple hundred metres ahead. Plan was to catch him at Idukki dam. But then my pace dropped a bit and I couldn't stay with Salvin who kept motoring on. Salvin went ahead to drop Pranay as well. I caught up to Pranay in the last 10 km of the race and he stayed in the wheel and outsprinted me at the finish. Super fun race overall.
