Or am I? There were 2 race series simultaneously, and maybe I have entered 20-30 age group instead of 30-40?? 


I was looking forward for this race, but recently my motivation faded and rain was forecasted. Luckily the forecast changed so I entered the race without UCI licence. I am not sure which category, there was an option to register one class up (I don't know if it make sense for me). 
The filed was way stronger than it looked from the preliminary start list a day before the race. 
Neutral start lasted for 8kms, then a hard uphill. Surprisingly I was at the very front after it and absolved the hard part of the 1st lap with the front. We were like 40-50 people still in the bunch. In the tailwind rollercoaster near Barnag a group of 8 got away, had a lead of 10 seconds. When they formed I was really close to bridge it but I was afraid that it would cost too much this early at the race. We were behind them for half a lap but we didn't make it. Every major team had people in it so our group's fate was decided. At this time we were 20, but slowly it went down to 12 then 10. At the first climb of the last lap 2 guys got away without any resistance. After Dörgicse, on the last major climb I paced the group, dropped 4 more people, but no one helped me on the flat ("I have a mate at the front") so they bridged back. I tried one more time in the last part of that hill, then on the flat and once in Barnag, using downhill momentum for an uphill attack but no success. There was still a climb left, a short but steep one, I went for it, as I didn't want to sprint even in this small bunch as the finish was tricky. To my surprise I got a nice gap but my legs were screaming, I felt like I was doing 200watts, I really didn't think that I am producing power. A Team Cube guy caught me, and we worked together to the finish, where we sprinted but I have no clue about the outcome. The award ceremony was in a hurry as the rain arrived, and I left empty handed. Maybe because I registered up a catwgy or I don't have a license yet. Overall I am happy with my result, in this field, with my weight I can't complain.
