On 04/06/2013, Brian CdeBaca wrote Winds SE and breezy from 15-20mph with gusts up to 30mph. Cold morning starting at 53° and climbing to 64°. Not sure how to dress with temps very cool and would be rising (rode with undershirt, arm warmers, knee warmers, toe covers, regular socks, thin gloves, and vest). Slow day for the most part down to Crandal into the head/cross winds. The pace turned up leaving Crandal with a tail/cross-tail wind the remaining miles home. Quads started to twinge with moments of cramping around mile 38 and really feeling the cramps on FM 740 near mile 51. Felt good today but the cramps are a little worrisome.

The cramping may be due to dehydration from having 5 beers last night with the Martins, Corys, Vincis, and others. Nutrition was not the best for a long ride today...pizza and beer not the way to go. Today was a good test to open the legs up as I chased 4 up the road leaving Crandal (waiting for someone), miles 35.63 to 39.16. Never caught the 4 but kept them in my sights. This took a little out, leaving the engine room needing something to help twingy legs. ***
