It's hard to believe but I don't think I've ever ran this loop without tacking on the Coosa Bald summit or Blood Mtn. so it was hard to bench mark where I'm at in terms of fitness over the years but this was long overdue. 

I wanted to get a moderate to hard effort on Coosa in the winter with the idea of taking a crack at the FKT sometime this spring but never got around to it. 

So thats exactly what I got today. A moderate/hard effort. Who would have guessed that only jogging around Buckhead and Cochran Shoals/Sope Creek for years would kill my climbing legs.  LOL

Felt okay overall. I could have ran all of the downhill sections much harder but didn't want to blow out my legs. Climbing was sluggish on all of the steep sections but that was to be expected.

Grading myself 7.5/10 today. Not surprising based on the training.

I think there is a TON of time to make up on the downhills easily. I just got to work on the steep stuff and come back, some day. :D
