Lunch Trail Run

So funny, my plan yesterday was just to take Jolly from short sands beach via this same route up Neahkahnie, then down to the far TH, then back up and over- the exact route this fkt uses that I didn’t know about until after we got back. Yesterday we ended up turning at the summit, so I went back today to do the whole route, hoping for 3 hours (men’s time 2:19). 
Surprised myself big time. Inspired by the start of the golden trail series and return of Allie Mac, I ran up the whole climb and pumped my arms when I needed more gusto. The heavily tree-rooted and Rocky tread makes it hard to fly without close attention. My strongest run in a very long time- years. Bested male time by 5 minutes and my goal by 45. So grateful to feel strong. Day 110 of vert year!
