Pretty full gas from the start - real race of attrition (first 4hrs after neutralized start at 305NP). On the final 2 mountains the pace is upped by the strongest riders & we are left with 7 around KM170. In the descent of the final mountain (Es Grau) a puncture caused a split in the front group, leaving me alone with Len Faki and Patrick Reißig. Collaboration was perfect & we instantly started creating a pretty massive gap. Last 150km of us working together were just endless but luckily relatively smooth as we didn’t need to force things much anymore. Eventually we were 18’ ahead of the nearest group and sprinted it out for the victory. Sprint itself was a bit intransparent (e.g., no signs of distance to finish)… but the legs were gone anyway and was outsprinted by my mates. Patrick Reißig crosses the line first but receives a DSQ for having used someone else’s M312 registration to participate…

So proud of this achievement - it’s a day I’ll never forget
