✅ Started at Montpelier trail head at 6:22am, finished at 2:00pm.  7 hrs 37 min. Trail distance is 46 miles. Previous fkt was 9 hrs 42 minutes supported.

This was unsupported which got much tougher than I anticipated.  From the west, first public water is 24 miles in Wauseon at a park a quarter mile off the trail. Next one at 38 miles in Oak Openings (water tasted like complete eggs but I had no choice but to fill up), then one more with just a couple miles to go which was an absolute life saver.  I had 3 liters of carrying capacity and ran dry twice with long, sunny stretches.  

Used my house fuel and hydration mix with 8 liters of water total, a Barry’s vanilla cinnamon bagel, and chocolate brownie Clif bar.  Packed about 650 carbs and used it all.

Thanks to Troy Dulgar for the inspiration with his south fork FKT awhile back!  I’ll post more on insta eventually!
