suprise! fast mile back to the car

such a good and challenging road, and eli's "you gotta respect the skillet" wisdom holds very true. was aiming for ~10min on each full climb {first rep was a bit too spicy and paid the dues for the next two}. each climb felt like a good consistent effort to the top tho and properly fatigued by the end. always have to be careful to not redline too early / let the lactic build, otherwise that last quarter is an absolute monster. rode that line nicely and just paid good attention to my legs/bod and adjusted pace/effort as needed

wanted to feel like a fuckin' peppy-powerhouse, but I was more in the "imma robot with big legs weeee up up up up" camp today. feeling aerobically solid, leg pieces are still coming into place. another night of less-than-ideal sleep; it's been a while since I've had a consistent span of A+ rest/recovery, but making due with what I'm gettin rn. glad to get this taken care of in the morning tho. surreally beautiful morning up there, despite some strong winds

easy couple of miles after the last rep, and then chatted w eli & kyle for a bit before ripping a faster mile back to the car (i.e. falling downhill and hoping my legs keep up). poor turnover, which puts more stress on my quads/glutes, def. something to keep working on. woulda like to give the uphill a single focused effort at some point and sneak under 9min. perhaps a prelude to the LS Beer Mile??

also, I really don't like how the Trix Rabbit is fawning over this kpop dude. Silly rabbit, kpop is for teenage fangirls, not 70yr old animated bunnies! just because you look young doesn't mean ppl don't know you've been around since 1954.

also, saw a pineapple just chilling on the road? I guess it is growing season around here
