I asked for 50, I got 48. But that fine, I, was pretty much out of fuel this morning to do anything that I had hoped. But maybe that left  some juice in the tank for something tomorrow so you know hopefully. 
Anyways, got (got lucky) me a mixed singles game of tennis this morning, 6-3, 2-4(ret). Heather retired, although winning that set, due to the humidity. Hot and humid when combined can take a serious toll on your body  and sometimes it's best to retire before things can get worse. 1-1 for the day so we both were happy.
Got home, "seriously" thought about clipping in. My lower half was not feeling it, but I wanted out anyway, so got dressed, and clipped in. Popped a few, or more, Advil before rolling out as well. Not good, but any little bit helped this am. The ride out of Belmont Shore was an easy one. The sun was breaking through the clouds, the humidity was waiting, the winds- definitely better than yesterday but still getting that headwind for the ride south. Situated myself rolling through Seal. Tight, but mobile, no complaints yet.
Over the ABB was a good spin but heading into Sunset, a few raindrops could be felt. Still continued south since rain doesn't factor in. Sunset was Sunset. Bolsa Chica  the headwind was there, but lighter than yesterday, so fine by me. I could see two cyclists in the distance, so I weighted the pedals and tried catching them. Which I did passing Seapoint. A little shift in wind direction in HB, but the pedals kept spinning. Pretty much from Seapoint to through Beach Blvd was just a lot of foot and car traffic.  Holiday typical. Good spin, since nothing was going to happen.
Passing Beach Blvd I got a little more speed but now I was dealing with cars on the shoulder entering all the entrances to the beaches. That only  makes the ride to Newport a little more difficult as it puts me outside of the white line while passing the cars.
Rolling through Newport no issues. Climbing up the hill to Jamboree was an easy spin. When I got to Avocado I wasn't sure where my bike was going it turned right and then went all the way down then on the way back up it turned right again so guess it looked like I just wanted to get that whole section into my ride going south. CDM no issues finally arriving at NPC Dr I decided no up, just turn around. 
On the way back was a crosswind/tailwind in my favor so being real happy with that, I got myself situated, again, rolled back through CDM, few miles later, I decided to turn right on Jamboree and square it. So, up San Joaquin was a good spin, although I did put it in the 36 because I didn't have the legs for 52. Got to MacArthur turned right, down the hill, right turn, back on PCH. Rolling pass Dover to the car wash I was able to sit behind a Harley for a bit and get a nice fast draft.  Good spin for a few, before getting to the NB Cafe  for a Gatorade. Small pit stop, before clipping in and continuing on.
Heading now over SART the wind was more tail it seemed. Felt good. Felt like I had the legs although now my lower back right side was getting a little bothersome. Coming to a red light on Brookhurst it turns green and using the tailwind and a box truck up ahead and staring to pick up speed I got behind and got myself a nice fast draft to Magnolia. Even got myself a trophy for 5th! A little fatigued after that. I sat back up, regrouped, and took it easy for a while.
Passing Main St I got behind a few guys and took it easy to Golden West. Golden West to Seapoint we sailed easily. The speeds were there. It was nice for a change. Seapoint through Bolsa Chica to Warner was straight on tailwind  and three of us pretty much flew right on through. I was in front for a bit, then drafted for a bit,  avg like 30ish. It was pretty much the best ride through Bolsa in a long time Ha. However, crossing Warner I had to unclip and take a breather. After a few minutes, clipped back in and got a nice spin through Sunset.
Over the ABB. Into Seal, into Belmont Shore. Ride done and done.
Hot and humid, sweaty, a nice #7 for today. What's going to happen tomorrow idk. Playing it by ear. I am definitely tight all around post ride.
