Lavarone - Kaltern: What a day! Riding all day together with Stan Maassen was such a cool feeling (with P4 & 5 as a result). It’s amazing to feel this strong after 6 days of racing 💪🙃💛.
During a very hard start with two shorter climbs, Stan and I were able to be in front of the split in the first group up to 2 times. Unfortunately in the descent there was a split in front of us and we had to chase with a good cooperative group of 12-16 riders. At the start of the long climb of the Passo Redebus we saw the first group just in front of us. Afterwards maybe Stan and I would’ve been able to close the gap if we tried at the beginning of the climb, because the pace was not to high. Halfway up Stan decided to go for it, but it was too late. On the last steep 2km of the climb I made the jump to Stan and we came together on the top. On the descents we didn’t take any risks (❤️mom) and rode strong together on the flatter and uphill sections. However the group behind us, worked well together and caught up to us after a while. With the support of Jan-Willem Meijerink & Lisanne Derks we were able to ride with this group to the foot of the last short climb and then gave it all to the finish! 

Although it was hard, this was by far the coolest day to ride; the strong feeling and the possibility to try something together with Stan made it so much fun.
