Wind various, 5-10mph. Every so often it was almost warm and fairly often sunny too. A very good day by this year's standard and a fine ride with some great light later on and an impressive sunset. 
Testing newly fitted 40T sprocket: a success, in that I mostly now have a 'spare' gear for the really steep bits :-)
