Zürich, so far, is pretty awesome. Far from a sleepy town, it’s quite bustling and historic, but then things quickly quiet down once you start leaving the touristy spots.

So many times during this ride I stopped and audibly said something to the effect of “no way” or “this can’t be real”.

Seriously, how is there this much geographical diversity in one country?

Btw the “Gold Coast” here I think refers more to the barley / wheat grass that is grown all over this region, which I didn’t realize before exploring this. At least that’s what I’m assuming. But there is also a play on words here, because some of the houses I saw on the way back into Zúrich were stupidly massive and beautiful.
